Netflix has very limited choices

Thought it would be like a video store, at least a small video store. Their choices are so small I do not plan to keep the 8.00 amonth rip off. Basic stuff like True Romance and Van Helsing are not available.Ok , I can list a bunch of movies that are not available like jeepers creepers 2, jeepers creepers 3 and oh lots more like wrong turn 2 and wrong turn 3 and wtrong turn 4 maby I could understand 4 but 2 & 3 and there is more like the black dahlia there are 2 versions they only have the (Bad Version) and there is a lot more that is not available!! You are stuck with their select few!!!

I couldn't continue with my netflix subscription. The library is too small. Sure there are good films on their website, but after you have watched the films you are most interested in there's really nothing else.

I recently went to lovefilm and was overjoyed by the size of the library and the variety. Lovefilm has less big titles than netflix , but a lot more movies to choose from. Which is what people want when they feel like watching a movie.

Netflix gives it's customers very little choice. That is my only complaint about them.

Netflix has gone downhill....

All of the sudden, Netflix got rid of ALL the exercise programs available by streaming and made them only available by DVD. Seems like just another cheap shot at Netflix to try to get streaming customers to pick up the DVD program. I've been a loyal Netflix customer, despite the fact that when they split the DVD/Streaming services in half and upped the price charged to my credit card, their response was: "oh, we let you know by e-mail that we were splitting the services". I was pissed at that point because you should ALWAYS have the ability to OPT-IN for pay services, not OPT-OUT. I cancelled the DVD service and have been fairly happy with the limited selection for streaming, but now they've made a lot of those suddenly unavailable for streaming as well. One more strike Netflix. One more strike.

I so Agree, they need to bring back the exercise shows, It was nice to be able to exercise at a time when it was convenient for me. I dont really watch those other programs but I did use the exercise programs now none of them are available.

At least change them to different options not take them off all together.

With Americans being so obese let them at least have the option of not being a couch potato in the living room or wherever their preferred electronic device takes them!!! :cry :cry

Interupted movie delivery

we are avid movie fans and before cancelling membership we had ordered over six hundrend films from Netflix. We signed up for Roku and loved it for films and for Pandora. We listened to music and/or movies seven days a week until we started losing the signal in the midst of the film. This became chronic. I contacted our cable provider and they said it was not their problem. we are disappointed and cancelled subscriptions to netflix and roku. I subscribed to Pandora and get it on my computer, that is great, but we miss our films. Cable television is awful and I refuse to subscribe to Hulu and listen to commercials. It is a waste land out there.

Netflix sucks!

Netflix is a horrible company!! They charged my credit card 8 times in one day for one month of service. They said it was denied by mastercard, but when I checked mc had autherized it 8X and was holding all the money in pre-autherization for netflix to take. Wich meant it was money I couldn't access (mc debit card) . In turn it held up my mortgage payment and now I have incurred late fee's!!! When speaking to customer service, they kept denying any fault on their part, laying blame on mc. I checked thuroughly and it was not mc fault, it was netflix 100%. 8 payments in one day being held in limbo for a week!!! I then canceled my account with them, and they could care less. My husband called the next day and they were nasty and didn't care. The worst customer service ever. They don't care about their clients at all!!! They have poor selection and no new movies in instant stream. Taking my business elsewhere! Good riddance!! By the way all the positive comments you see are netflix employees trying to do damage control on their terribly tarnished reputation!!! Run don't walk away from netflix!!

Netflix got rid of exercise videos!

I always used to work out at home. I "can" afford the gym, but choose not to pay so much money for a crapload of equipment I'll never use and just go to a couple classes. I favor Yoga and Pilates, of which Netflix Streaming was full. All of a sudden, I go to use one of them and...GONE. I think it's only been 2 days since I used one and now they're not there. I think Netflix is so upset that they lost all their DVD customers, that they just randomly decide to do away with random series and entire categories after everyone gets all comfortable with the fact that they're there (they took away Roseanne when I was half way though, as well) so we'll all come back for DVD service. I'm about done with them at this point! I can get my workout videos elsewhere. It just might have been nice to have had a warning of some kind. And for them to keep ANY of my favorite things there consistently.

Netflixs' false advertising

signed up for free trial on ps3 under the impression netflix was a reputable company but found out to my dismay that it didn't live up to any of its promises. The film choice was abominable, there is a better choice in my local library and as for the "free trial" mine was ended a week after it started - only due to connection problems - or it would have been ended 30 mins after i signed up and realised what was actually on offer. now if i find out i am being charged at the end of the current billing period as so many other ex-customers have complained about then i will be consulting my lawyer - albeit for a measly few pounds.

Netflix gets rid of exercise videos?

I can't always get out of the house and go to the gym so it's nice to have workouts on Netfix. I get on it today and hmmm... no exercise videos. Zero. What the ***? So I go online and see if I'm crazy. I typed in so many keywords for exercise and nothing came up. You inconvenience me and I'm pissed. I pay for a ton of *** movies that nobody ever watches. Awesome.... >.> All I want is for them to bring them back. It's streaming so it doesn't make any sense that they'd get rid of it.

I am also disturbed that Netflix has taken off all their workout videos, I like to do some of the yoga videos in the privacy of my own home. I no longer have the membership that allows me to order the DVD's I only have streaming and have come to expect having access to workout videos.

I am sure many people rely on those videos for their fitness regimens, so to just take them away unannounced is unprofessional and takes a physical toll on their customers' well being.

I would think a large corporation like Netflix would want to do all they could to be a positive force in the fight against obesity in this country, but clearly this is not a priority for them. Pretty sad what companies will do to make a dime.

Netflix just will not stream

Upto about three months ago Netflix worked well ... Now it just will not stream ... Time Warner says their Internet connectivity is working fine and my computer systems etc. work just fine .... Netflix will not work on the DVD, the computer, the I Pad or the Apple Computer .... Unfortunately I still get a regular charge from Netflix for a service that is disfunctional .... No shame and no service .... No wonder Americacan businesses develop such a bad rap!!!! It stops every few seconds ... Some times it comes for a few minutes and dies ... Most times it just dies and never comes back ....

Netflix doesn't determine how your playback will be, you have issues with connection and you probably never tested your home network on other high bandwidth services.

Its not downloading its a streaming service it requires a stable connection i had this issue with onlive until i found out it was my router that was set to the wrong channel and was having interference.

NetFlix Customer Service Sucks

I saw the complaints about Netflix, as well as the rebuttal, obviously written by netflix. My situation was just as bad, the company charged my credit card, the minute I signed up for the supposed free trial. The response to my call was horrific, the woman yelled at me and then finally hung up. The bank that issued my credit card was more than anxious to help me, and the BBB basically told me they considered the complaint resolved since the bank resolved it. My Advice is BE CAREFUL, read the 6 page terms and conditions carefully, then have your lawyer read it, hopefully by then you will change your mind and find any other company, I seriously doubt you could do worse. My apologies to the employee in NC that monitors this site, however seriously she should also make sure she is paid in advance, these guys are not exactly honest.

I just got off the phone with them, and even reading the terms of service does not tell you all they think you're agreeing to. There's also an explanation of what the puke green "save" button means, but you have to know the phrasing, as the designed-by-Romper-Room Help search engine will not understand that "saved" films list as "unavailable." And this info does not cover by half what they seem to think it does.

I would join any class action suit I learned of that wanted to sue them for breach of contract because, since they want to hide behind their legal jargon, I'd love to see these humongous loopholes exploited by a good attorney. Basically, "We don't give any sort of recompense for screwing you over" was the sum of 45 minutes of talking (you can't email) customer disservice.

Plus they use requests for movies they don't actually own for market research on what to buy, and that's never disclosed. They should be paying their customers for this service.

Netflix, there is no such thing as a FREE TRIAL

I signed up for a "free Trial" they charged my credit card 4 times within the first 12 hours. I called them and they claim a woman named Brenda, same last name, had a coount previously. I checked with google on the email address they indicate, google says there is no such email address. I tried to speak to the child, Courtney that answered the netflix phone, her comments were , oooh Kewl. Like wow. She then told me she really could care less, apparently netflix policy isd to steal a little from a LOT of people. I have since received a notification of a pending "class action lawsuit" against these crooks. Like wow, Kewl

Im sorry if you have that much faith in NETFLIX. But I was just double billed so I called them to advise of the issue.

I offered to fax over my bank statement to show them the double billing. The *** girl advise me that they dont have a fax machine and since they cant see that I was double billed there was nothing they could do. After making a few calls to this company I've determined that all the customer rep's there are ***.

I cancl'd my service and will never do business with this company again. No 8.65 didnt bank my bank but if you caused an error the company should resolve the issue by any means.

:zzz I tried to use the netflix account and it was deactivated. The credit card company told me they will have no problem reversing the charges since the service is not being provided.

Obviously this is the way Netflix handles their customer service, LOL, I seriously doubt I was given any preferential treatment.

Terrible updateing

I am very dissapointed in the same movies you have on there for months.... I dont get how the blockbusters in my town got shut down because of you guys I dont want to wait 2 days to watch a movie I want now but that is not even the main issue... the same movies which most of them are low budget movies are left on there all the time I never see any classics or anything good at all on there and you dont ever update any seasons of your t.v. show... what am I paying $7.99 for it is sad.... Try putting on some movies people actually like would you????

Seriously I do. I hate waiting and waiting for new movies to show up on Netflix.

I've complained about this many, many times before. A friend of mine in the entertainment industry explained it to me, so now I'm not as upset. Netflix is bound by licensing agreements to Hollywood. Sometimes certain companies don't want their movies to be played on Netflix.

It's why for example, I will probably never be able to stream The Wire, because HBO says it won't allow it.

What I'm saying is Netflix's hands are kinda tied.

Netflex "GIFT CARDS"

Yes i am pissed off, i have gotten a couple of "GIFT SUBSARIBTIONS" for my wife and kids blah blah. So my wife tells me that her Netflex is off and they need a valid cc to continue. This is where i get confused they have got to have on file a valid cc # for a gift card bought at the locale store. This "GIFT" is already paid for in full! 0$ owed on it yet they say that they have to have a valid cc. While i was tring to get a straight answer out of a "SUPERVISER' at Netflex i found out by the slip of her tounge that they assum,e that you understand that now you are a member, I did not buy a membership card i bought a "GIFT SUBSCRIPTION". Any other place that i have ever bought a gift card or Subscription that was it its paid for and move on, but OH NO not with NETFLEX they got to have my cc # WHY? so that they can charge you (they have done this to me 3/4 times and i had to get another cc. But what a money making deal that they got going if one thousand of you do not check your acc and 8 to 10 $ are taken per month they would be getting a lot of $$$ NOW X that by 10's of thousands. I totaly agree with one person THEY ARE GETTING TO BIG FOR THERE BRITCHES. Tats all for now

The same thing happened to me .. I bought gift cards to pay for my subscription..

redeemed the gift card then they shut off my account.. when I called them back they then told me "once an account has been shut off they wont turn it back on with a gift card"! after 45 min she fixed it and turned it back on. my bank must have bad blood with Netflix because it authorized the funds then put it back onto my debit card ..

I told the Rep I have never had this much trouble trying to pay someone what I owe them.. also now u can only by their gift cards from Netflix website :( grrrrr

Had a similar issue. Gift subscription for a year, half way through and the service is canceled. Call to find out why, the answer, that I have to have a valid cc on file... even though I have a subscription that is paid in full for a year.

asked how they would even know my cc wasn't valid? (canceled because of theft)they explained that they run authorization on every cc every month??? even if not being charged?!?!?

WTF !!!! this is yet another reason that I will not renew my subscription to netflix.

Cannot read about movies pick movies, delete movies and they pick the ones that they send a lot time

I knew I was right. I found out about an email I could use to email netflix in which not that many people know about it. I emailed and told this person what has been happening when I go on netflix and they told me that this is wrong that this is happening and this person got a hold of one of the higher ups and now I can read what movies are about and I can deletw and move movies around all these things I couldn\'t do before and that means that somebody did something so i could not read the movies etc: I was right all along.

I paid for membership but cannot get the product I paid for. This is not fair. To pick movies you want to read what they are about well I can't do that because everytime I go to my *** I can't move my movies to my preference or delete some movies. All and all I cannot do anything on my ***. You ask them a question they won't respond they must not be smart enough to type. Someone must do something i have so many complaints at the bbb. It is very stressful. Something must be done.

I haver never had any of these problems and have always been able to see what any movie is about by moving my mouse over the title. If you want to see more infromation then click on it and you will see additonal details as well as reviews from other members who have watched to movie.

I do not know what you think going to the BBB will do for you except give them a gool laugh. And the only attorney you will get to handle your case is some low life attorney that says I have a live one who is not to smart. Lets seperate him from his money.

The best thing you can do if you are not happy is to cancel the service and move on. I do not know anyone who will fool with your case for 9 bucks.

Netflix streaming is pure frustration now

After purchasing an LG Blueray DVD player with WIFI, the first two movies played without a hitch. Now any movie will stop with the LOADING... message. I can't use their streaming feature if this is what happens. I will contact Netflix and see what they can do to fix this problem. Given what I've read here, there may be no fix. What other company streams movies? How can anyone accept this streaming problem? You cannot enjoy watching a movie when it is interupted every 10 minutes (or less). I have to believe it is a Netflix problem and not related to my equipment because the first 2 movies played without any problem what so ever.

I have not had much success with wifi on anything so I wired everything and I do not have the problem anymore. Try that and see if it helps.
