Had to drop Netfix. Our internet data was going over the limit | Netflix review from Clarksville, Arkansas

Update by user Dec 29, 2014

I did some research on my own, and did you know that you can go into your Netflix and adjust your "Playback Quality Settings". If you go with the HD settings you use 3 GB and hour.

If you set it on LOW or basic setting, you use up approx .3 GB and hour. That's where the problem was and neither Netflix OR Suddenlink mentioned anything about this ...

Netflix siad that the streaming media will affect my internet usage plan since I am being charged extra when I go over my data plan, but I would need to be watching netflix at least every day to accumulate that much data ...

Original review posted by user Nov 05, 2014

We had to drop Netfix. We called Centurylink about our data usage and they claimed that Netflix was causing us to go over our monthly data limit. We called Netflix and they told us that Netfix doesn't take up that much data. Our internet provider, Centurylink, said we are going over our max. data usage and they said it was probably because we were watching too much Netflix? Anyway, Centurytel/Centurylink charges us an extra $30 or so if we go over, so had to cancel Netflix. When you take the $8 per month Netflix charges plus the extra $30 that Centurytel charged us for being over our data limit, that's $37 we end up paying for Netflix.

This is what our internet service provider said it is so we assume they should be the ones to know about this?

Netflix doesn't use very much data. I have a limit on my data and we stream netflix every day, all month long. So it is something else.

I have a blue ray player with a Netflix link in a rental house. I did not activate the netflix on the unit, but a tenant did. The tenant has moved out and I am in the house. I tried to activate my Netflix account on the unit, but it shows the tenant's que and no way...

Well, Nextflix doesn't have a way to fix this because it's not a Netflix problem. The account is fixed on the device, meaning you need to remove it on the device.

So you would have to remove Netflix from the blue ray player, then reinstall it at which time it will then need an account and that is when you simply put in your information. Netflix does not have a way to sign in and out with multiple accounts on one device because this is a downside to their security protocols/trying to prevent multiple users on one account.

Netflix - Unbelievable

Despite cancelling my free trial before the trial end and getting an email confirmation, Netflix covertly started to charge my credit card even though I stopped using the Netflix service. They billed my credit card for 24 months before I noticed. Netflix customer service proved very difficult and unreasonable to deal with. As settlement they only refunded me one month of the 24 months that they had billed me. When discovered this and called to dispute it I had another abrasive rep. When I managed to speak with a supervisor I did finally get an agreement from Netflix to refund all 24 months. This was perhaps in light of the fact that my wife was paying a duplicate subscription the whole time. However, after a few weeks no refund materialised. Now I'm on hold to talk to a manager after talking with another rude rep who insists that I was refunded and that if it doesn't appear on my credit card then it's something to take up with my credit card company since Netflix can do nothing about it. She was angry when I asked to talk to a manager and I've been on hold now for 10 minutes. Manager is reasonable, some glitch in their system, promises refund in 3-5 days. Let's see....

Netflix - *** Movies Review from Bellevue, Washington

Netflix takes popular well liked movies and replaces them with *** movies that I've never even heard of!!! If they do put a really worthwhile movie on there....they end up removing the movie within a short period of time!!! And yet the movies I've never heard of....stay on there for MONTHS!!!! I can't see any LOGICAL reason behind this!!!! Remove the good movies and leave the sucky ones on?? Hmm. Who's running the show over there? Mickey Mouse???

I'm not trying to be rude here, but did you ever think that maybe the reason why the good movies are only on Netflix for a short amount of time is because of licensing agreements with the distribution companies? You probably won't see any Mickey Mouse over there either, because Disney costs way too much.

You keep taking off the good shows!!! | Netflix review from Huntsville, Alabama

You're gonna lose customers if you keep taking off the good shows (anime). So I think you should put on some more anime which should be; black butler season 1, kenichi the mightiest disciple, naruto, fruits basket, bleach, code lyoko. You should also put on some new animes which should be; lucky star, more fairy tail, more fullmetal alchemist brotherhood, a certain little magical index, angel beats, Baka and test, chrome shelled regios, clannad, code geass, d gray man, sonic x, fullmetal panic, k-on, sailor moon, naruto shippuden. Oh also put them in English dub please. Please and thank you!

Netflix needs to listen to its viewers and fix their mobile website too

I want the ALL the ID channel programs put back. I had over 25 shows all the sudden eliminated from my watch list. Now, rather than true crime programming there are bunches of HGTV programs available. So what deal was brokered there and how much did Netflix make? Why replace ID channel programs for HGTV programs, why not have both? I can say for sure I am now watching much less Netflix online streaming cause I am not a DIY kind of person and couldn't care less about HGTV programs. It appears as though all Netflix cares about is about the bottom line, not their viewers. AND...the Netflix browser mobile site sucks. If you don't want to download the Netflix app you can forget using Netflix on Chrome while on your android phone. it is a joke. I am SO disappointed with Netflix I want to cancel but what other choice do I have really? I used to be a big fan but over and over shows are all the sudden eliminated with no notice and there is nothing I can do about it. Netflix needs to grow a conscience. and they need quality competition. Maybe that way they would work to listen and please their viewers instead of working for profits above all else. They obviously don't care to listen to their viewers...
