New ReviewerHaving been a paying member of Netflix for over 12 years, I now received an email stating they are discontinuing my membership plan, and that I will save 40% with the new plan. I read the fine print and found out that the new plan includes ads.
I have never had an ad plan for 12 years. My only choice, to avoid ads, is to pay more money than what I was paying before Netflix decided to get rid of my plan.
It's disappointing to receive an email stating I am going to save 40%, but in reality, I have to spend more each month to get at least the same level of service as with my old plan. I would be much happier receiving an email saying the rate is going up instead of trying to make it appear like we are going to save money, but not receive the same service.
User's recommendation: Check around, lots of other choices.
Monetary Loss: $2.
Preferred solution: Keep old plan and pricing..
Netflix Pros: Lots of shows.
Netflix Cons: Price and plans always changing lately.
